Judaism
Culture Region- There are roughly 13.4 million jews around the world. Their main beliefs are that God chose them to be His chosen people and to do His will. They are currently waiting for their messiah who will save them as a people. The leaders of this religion include Abraham, Moses, David and Jacob. Icons of this religion include the Star of David.
Diffusion- Judaism is a religion that has spread throughout the world but sadly, Jews have been persecuted throughout all of history. And this has made many people reluctant to spread the Jewish faith. In fact, the main barrier to the spread of this religion was the persecution that Jews were forced to endure throughout all of its history.
Religious Ecology- The Jews respect all of God's creation since it is in fact, as He says, "Good." And because of this the Jews are appreciative of every thing God creates, from the deserts to the forests.
Culture Integration- Despite how few of Jews that we have in America, their culture has been embraced by many Americans and Hannukah while no where near as popular as Christmas is starting to come into its own as a major Western holiday. The menorah and the dradel are two symbols of this holiday that every person recognizes in America without thinking.
Cultural Landscapes- The holiest site in all of Judaism is the Western Wall of the Temple at Jerusalem. The temple in Jerusalem was destroyed many times and the temple was the heart of Jewish life way back when.
