Hinduism
Culture Region- Hinduism has 950 million followers. Its main beliefs that one's goal is to live a life of righteousness while enjoying life's pleasures until one reaches death in which the person is reincarnated. Icons of this religion include many statues of the gods of Hinduism including Vishnu.
Diffusion- For the most part, Hinduism has stayed in India and most all of its followers are Indian. It hasn't spread all that much outside of India due to the many geographical blockades that surround it and it hasn't spread all that much now due to the tremendous popularity of religions such as Christianity and Islam outside of India.
Religious Ecology- Since the followers of Hinduism believe in reincarnation, they believe that all forms of life should be protected and that it is best to respect everything in nature that is around them.
Culture Integration- Hinduism has a huge cultural impact on the Indian lifestyle but outside of that, there is little effect on the rest of the world culturally by the Hindu culture.
Cultural Landscapes- There are thousands of Tirthas in India which are places of pilgrimage in which the followers of Hinduism go to honor certain deities. The most sacred place in all of Hinduism is the Ganges River at Varanasi in which the bodies of those that have passed must be placed and actually bathing in the river is one of the holiest acts that one can do.
